My name is Erin Fink.  This will be my sixth year teaching young children in grades Pre-K through 3rd grade.  I have taught at Dallas City, LaHarpe and Nauvoo-Colusa Elementary Schools.  I am thrilled to say this is my third year teaching here at Nauvoo-Colusa and this year I am teaching Pre-Kindergarten. 
   Our Pre-K curriculum focuses on reading readiness skills such as picture naming, rhyming and alliteration, beginning math, science and social studies skills and a strong emphasis on social skill development.  Throughout the year, the children engage in many hands on activities, guide their own learning through questioning and projects and participate in small and large group activities and adventures.  We go on many fieldtrips to local businesses and community organizations.  Pre-K also hosts a Family Fun Night or parenting class for Pre-K families once a month.  Our classroom is a very busy place where children are actively learning new things about the world and themselves and accomplishing new tasks every day!
