Music Theater Class is a semester-long class.  Students work at developing personal creativity, as well as cooperative group skills.  They also learn basic acting skills, the elements of drama, creating a character through movement and voice, and improvisational skills.  The class culminates in a spring performance of a musical.

Those who like to sing will want to join the NC Junior High Chorus.  Students learn how to sing to their potential, as well as learning group vocal skills such as active listening, an awareness of musical form and expression, and performance skills.  The NCJHS Chorus performs 3-4 times a year in concert.  They also have the opportunity to perform at other schools, participate in solo and ensemble contests, group contests, and attend professional concerts as the opportunity presents itself.
