Nauvoo Elementary Music Classes meet 2-3 times per week.  Students explore making music in a variety of ways.  They sing, use a variety of pitched and non-pitched instruments, move, play games, create their own compositions, learn about famous composers and learn how music is organized. 
The entire Music department comes together for a December concert. The third grade class spends the second semester learning how to play the recorder, with a group performance at the end of the year.  Another highlight is the 5th and 6th grade musical, also presented second semester.
