Mrs. Siegfried wanted to share her 6th grade science activity they did on Jan. 23, 2023. The students are finishing up their chapter on "Body Systems," so her students built skeletal systems of their hands. The 6th graders seemed to really enjoy it! Check out the great pics of this science class activity.
Here is a message and attached pics from Mrs. Patrick: First grade has just finished their science unit on germs! We had fun learning about germs with a lot of hands-on experiments and projects! 1st experiment: Wiping unclean hands on bread and watching what grows from it! 2nd experiment: Using glow gel and a black light for a hand washing lesson. 3rd project: We made our own “germ” models. 4th experiment: We swabbed multiple surfaces in our classroom and school, and grew germs in petri dishes. We also looked at pictures of magnified bacteria and viruses, and also learned how to use a microscope!
School will be back in session tomorrow, but the school is under a boil order. As a result there will be no drinkable water in the building. Please send your student to school with a full water bottle.
No school today also includes Warsaw 7th and 8th grade students!
Good morning! There will be no school today for Nauvoo-Colusa Elementary students due to no water at the school this morning. Warsaw high school students will still have school and buses will pick up as normal.
Thanks!
Check out our 2nd graders celebrating national "Popcorn Day" on Jan. 19th in Mrs. Belshaw's P.E. class! Looks like they had a blast with this activity :).
